Built for the show. Operated with judgment.
The purchase and operating terms for CueStacks Public Beta. Effective July 26, 2026.
Agreement
By purchasing, installing, activating, or using CueStacks, you agree to these Terms and Software License. “Publisher,” “we,” and “us” refer to the CueStacks publisher identified on your purchase receipt. If you use CueStacks for an organization, you confirm that you may accept these terms for that organization.
Perpetual license
A paid CueStacks license is perpetual, includes every future CueStacks version released for the product, and may be used on up to three Macs controlled by the license holder. The license is non-exclusive, non-transferable, and may not be resold, sublicensed, shared as a service, or used to distribute CueStacks or its license key or bundled audio to another person or organization. The included audio-use terms, source-license conditions, required credits, and standalone-library restrictions are published in the Audio Licensing notice.
Founding Beta and education
Founding Beta purchasers receive first access to new CueStacks features for the life of the product. Education pricing is limited to qualifying schools, educators, and educational use. We may request reasonable eligibility documentation. The Public Beta prices are $99 standard and $49 education. Planned full-release prices are $299 standard and $99 education; the $99 education price is intended to remain permanent.
Beta status and changes
CueStacks Public Beta is pre-release software under active development. Features, workflows, file formats, integrations, and compatibility may change. We may update, replace, or discontinue a Beta build when needed for quality, security, or product development.
Live-production responsibility
CueStacks is a production tool, not a life-safety system or a guaranteed failover device. Before every event, the operator is responsible for rehearsing the exact project, confirming media, routing, output devices, MIDI or control mappings, system power, and backups. Maintain an independent fallback playback path appropriate to the event. Do not first install or materially reconfigure a Beta immediately before doors or show time.
Media and third-party rights
You are responsible for the rights needed to store, edit, sequence, and publicly perform any media you add. CueStacks does not provide a blanket public-performance license, chart-music license, or rights to team, league, sponsor, performer, or venue marks. Bundled-audio use terms and third-party source-license conditions are published in the Audio Licensing notice.
Support and defects
Reproducible defects may be posted to the Public Beta Log or sent to support@cuestacks.com with the CueStacks version, macOS version, hardware, steps, and relevant logs or screenshots. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to investigate and correct verified defects promptly, but we do not promise an uninterrupted service, an error-free build, or a specific resolution time.
Community submissions
Forum display names, posts, replies, and screenshots are public. Submit only material you have the right to share and do not post passwords, license keys, private show data, personal information, or unlawful content. You retain ownership of your submission and grant the Publisher a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, moderate, and use it to evaluate, support, document, and improve CueStacks. We may label, merge, close, hide, or remove content to keep the Beta log useful and safe. The full rules are published in the Community Guidelines.
Warranty disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CueStacks and all Beta materials are provided “as is” and “as available,” without express, implied, or statutory warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement. Nothing in these terms limits a warranty or consumer right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Publisher will not be liable for lost profits, revenue, recordings, media, opportunities, goodwill, production time, or for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from CueStacks, a playback interruption, operator error, hardware failure, or third-party service. Aggregate liability related to a license will not exceed the amount paid for that license. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.
Refunds and termination
Digital software sales are final except for the narrow exceptions, provider-controlled transaction decisions, and mandatory rights described in the CueStacks Refund Policy. A refund or material breach may end the right to use the license even if an offline key remains stored on a Mac. Sections concerning ownership, media rights, disclaimers, and liability survive termination.
Contact and updates
Questions about these terms may be sent to support@cuestacks.com. We may update these terms for future purchases or versions. Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date; mandatory rights under applicable law remain unaffected.
